Private Studios & Storage
For members who need more than shared shop space, Artisans Asylum offers private studios and on-site storage options across our Holton and Antwerp buildings in Boston.
Whether you’re looking for a permanent home base for your practice, space for a growing business, or simply a place to store works in progress, we provide flexible options designed to support how you work.
Studio Rentals
Studios are dedicated spaces that members can design and fit out to meet their unique needs. They’re ideal for makers who want a consistent workspace while continuing to use our shared workshops and equipment.
We offer 50 sq ft, 100 sq ft, and 200 sq ft studios in both the Holton and Antwerp buildings.
Eligible memberships (24/7, Nights & Weekends, Family, and Organizational) are required prior to renting. Studios renew month-to-month on the first of each month, with your first month prorated if applicable.
Members interested in renting a studio are placed on a waitlist. Typical wait times:
Holton Building: 1–3 months
Antwerp Building: 6–12 months
As a studio member, you receive 24/7 access for one individual and full access to all shops upon successful completion of New Member Orientation and any required Tool Testing.
Studios are intended to serve as a productive home base within a shared creative environment. Members are expected to follow safety guidelines, maintain clear walkways, and operate within community standards.
50 SQ FT Studios
Our most affordable studio option provides a permanent footprint at the Asylum in either building. It’s ideal for solo makers who need a compact, reliable home base while working across the shops.
100 SQ FT Studios
A mid-size studio that offers room to grow or share with a collaborator. This size works well for makers balancing production, storage, and design within one dedicated space.
200 SQ FT Studios
Our largest studio option provides space for small teams, larger builds, or early-stage businesses. Available in both buildings, this size is well suited for members ready to scale their work.
Storage Rentals
Need a place to keep materials, tools, or projects in progress? We offer a variety of storage rental options in both Holton and Antwerp.
Storage is available to members with eligible memberships (24/7, Nights & Weekends, Family, or Organizational). Rentals can be managed through Nexudus.
